Stripfest and San Diego Crazy first week here on tour. Back in LA tonight and chilling out waiting for the second last episode of True Blood to start. Sunset Strip Music Fest was awesome. Was a great vibe cause it felt like people were there to get into the music and celebrate the history and future of The Strip. We played The Roxy and had an awesome time. Funniest band of the day STEEL PANTHER - 80’s hair rock to the max. Loved their ballad with the lyrics “ My heart belongs to you, but my Cock is community property ” Totally piss funny. Most amazing act was FERGIE absolutely wailing with SLASH, she is even sexier when she unleashes her inner Rock Chick. After a LATE night we cruised down to the Ruby Room in San Diego. (Thanks Bobby for the hint to take the 5 we made it down in under 2 hours) Had a seedy late lunch at Dennys, ran into a couple of super friendly locals who offered to show us round and then played a great set with Shaun Morgan (Bluesy, passionate & very cool) and Vinyl Film (3 piece power band with great songs and energy to burn) Everybody should vote for them as they are nominated as one of the best Rock bands in the San Diego Music Awards (Congrats Guys) We head to Arizona on Friday, till then hopefully more Californian Sunshine. Had to throw that in there cause we heard it’s really cold back home in Australia at the moment. Peace / Love Phil
